  • Password (encrypted using industry-standard hashing)
  • Billing information (processed securely through Stripe)

Chat Data

When visitors interact with your Chatmefy widget:

  • Conversation content and timestamps
  • Visitor information (if provided voluntarily)
  • Browser type, device type, and general location
  • Referral source and pages visited

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Feature usage patterns and analytics
  • Performance metrics and error logs
  • IP addresses (anonymized after 30 days)

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Power AI conversations specific to your business

Important: AI Training

We do NOT use your conversation data to train our AI models without your explicit consent. Your business data remains yours. Our proprietary AI models are trained on carefully curated datasets, not customer data.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Chatmefy's own infrastructure:

  • EU Data Centers: Primary data storage in SOC 2 Type II certified facilities
  • Encryption: All data encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
  • Isolation: Complete data isolation between customer accounts
  • No Third-Party AI: We do not send your data to OpenAI, Google, or any external AI provider
  • Backups: Automated daily backups with 30-day retention

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Payment processors (Stripe), email services (for transactional emails only)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

All service providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and are GDPR compliant.
